Wasps Netball outline ticket arrangements following season cancellation

Rugby Editorial 1st Jun, 2020   0

TICKET arrangements for all of Wasps Netball’s unfulfilled home fixtures have been confirmed following the cancellation of the Vitality Netball Superleague season due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Wasps Netball can announce season members will be offered credit to the full value of their memberships to either put towards next season’s membership or future match tickets, purchases in the club shop or for a future netball camp, or donated back to the club. Refunds are also available.

Similar arrangements will also be made for supporters who have purchased match tickets for any games which have been cancelled.

Season members and match ticket purchasers are being contacted directly in order for them to clarify their preference.

Wasps Netball can also confirm their remaining netball camps and workshops have been cancelled. Anyone with a booking will be contacted via email to outline the options available to them.

Stephen Vaughan, Wasps Group chief executive, said: “We remain committed to returning to the court but only when it is safe to do so as our priority has been, and will continue to be, the health and well-being of our staff, players, volunteers, partners, supporters and their families. This is why we fully support the decision made by England Netball.

“Although the current situation is challenging for everyone, we know it will end and decisions are being made now to safeguard the club, as well as the long-term future of netball.

“The support and understanding we have had from our fans so far has been incredible and, based on their feedback, we are offering supporters a range of ticketing options so they can decide what works best for them.

“Ticketing revenue is such an important part of netball income, which is why we are offering fans the option of credit towards their season and match tickets for next season so they can help the club and guarantee their seat for 2021.

“We made a long-term commitment to netball, have high expectations for the future and those ambitions have not changed.”

Mel Mansfield, Wasps Netball head coach, added: “I am incredibly proud of the way the players and staff have stayed connected during this challenging time and we look forward to taking to court again when it is safe to do so.

“We miss each other, our fans and our partners and are hugely grateful for the ongoing support of the entire Wasps family.”

Wasps will continue to update members and fans with information regarding the impact of the Covid-19 virus on the club as it becomes available.
