85-strong male voice choir to fill church with song

AN 85-STRONG male voice choir will fill St Andrew’s Church with song tonight (Friday October 13).

Men of Cornwall will perform at the church as part of a three-concert mini-tour which begins today at St Chad’s Cathedral, Birmingham.

Many of the choristers were part of a 600-voice choir which performed to a sell-out audience at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and some have been part of the Trelawny Choir which has travelled to Singapore, New Zealand, Eastern Canada and Western Canada.

Organiser Amber Merrick-Potter said: “It is sure to be a moving and memorable evening, with 85 voices filling and reverberating throughout the beautiful St Andrews Church.

“It is a really rare evening for Rugby and we feel very privileged to be included in their small tour.”

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Real ale, wine and refreshments will be available. Entry costs £5.
