A PUBLIC multimedia art installation planned for today (Friday April 6) has been postponed.
Rugby artist Pete Thornley was due to collaborate with local band The Anteloids for Flashpoint, described as a ‘multi-projection sound experience’, at the entrance to Rugby Art Gallery and Museum.
But the event has been called off due to a forecast of high winds.
Pete said: “Really sorry but Rugby Art Gallery and Museum and Rugby Borough Council, after consulting me about the safety of my screens in 30-40 mph gusts of wind, decided the event could not safely proceed.
“They have postponed the event but have guaranteed another date when convenient to all.”
The installation will now provisionally take place on Friday July 6.
