A TEXTILE artist will exhibit her works at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum for the first time.
Mary Hart will open her exhibition Special Moments Through Travel and Stitch on Saturday (August 17).
Mary, who lives on a farm in Northamptonshire, takes her inspiration from the texture, architecture and landscapes she sees – both at home on the farm and by travelling to different parts of the globe.
By manipulating the paints, drawings and photographs she has collected on her travels, she creates multi-layered artworks using different fabrics, stitching, dyeing, beading and other embellishments and techniques.
The exhibition runs at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum’s Floor One Gallery until Thursday August 29.
