Where to Watch the FIFA World Cup in Rugby

Rugby Editorial 27th Oct, 2022   0

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is just around the corner and even though it will not be perfect beer garden weather this year, locals will still be keen to get out and about so that they can cheer on the Three Lions with fellow supporters.

If you are looking for somewhere you can go to in Rugby and watch a game with a pint, below are some suggestions.

The Bank

Formerly a cinema, The Bank is now a fantastic bar that serves an array of food and has multiple screens showing live sporting events.

There are six TVs all around the pub showing up to three different matches, and just adjacent to the main bar area is a large projector which will be perfect for the World Cup

The atmosphere is always great by all accounts, and the staff are particularly friendly and helpful.

London Calling

With a top food hygiene rating and rave reviews of their breakfast, London Calling serves up a first-class experience for enthusiasts of the full English.

For that reason, this is one of the better places to start your day and catch an early World Cup game.

They have live bands some weekend evenings as well, so you can have a cracking day here from start to finish.

Newbold Crown

This traditional pub is a popular spot for live sport, so much so that it is advised that you book in advance if you want to secure a table for any of England’s matches.

Located in Newbold-on-Avon, it is a couple of miles outside the town centre but it is well worth making your way over there.

The Half Moon

Live sport is a big part of what makes this a great local pub. They are known for showing Premier League games every week as well as boxing matches involving British fighters.

The Half Moon is just a five-minute walk from a Betfred, which is one of the best bookies for World Cup betting promotions.

Bull

Right in the heart of Rugby, Bull is set to be one of the best pubs to watch the World Cup in and you can book a table for any of the games already.

They are open until 11pm on weekdays and 1am on weekends, and they open their doors at 10am so you can get in there for the opening game on any matchday.

It’s dog-friendly, they have real ale, and you can access their Wi-Fi throughout the place.
