ALL of Lawrence Sheriff’s GCSE pupils achieved five or more 9-4 grades – the equivalent of the old A*-C – including English and Mathematics.
Some 65 per cent of all entries were graded at 9-7, the equivalent of A*-A.
Half of the year group – 55 students – gained nine or more 9-7 grades, and a quarter of them scored the top grade 9 score in five or more subjects.
Results were high across the core subjects of Mathematics, English, the three sciences, computer studies and history and geography – with over 30 per cent of pupils getting the top grade 9 in mathematics, and 81 per cent overall gaining 9-7 grades in the subject.
Head teacher Dr Peter Kent said: “These are a deeply impressive set of results, reflecting the outstanding achievements of our students who have been strongly supported by their hard working and knowledgeable teachers.”
