AN APPEAL has gone out to help a family who lost everything they own when their home caught fire – just days after suffering a bereavement.
A fire broke out in the loft of a house in Foxons Barn Road in Brownsover at around 12.20pm on Wednesday December 12 and spread through the building.
Fire crews from Rugby, Lutterworth and Atherstone rushed to the scene, and later called for the assistance of another crew from Leamington and a hydraulic platform from Coventry.
The online crowdfunding appeal was launched on December 13 by Beverley Lee-Everton.
She said: “Ten days ago one of our colleagues had a sudden immediate family death and yesterday suffered a house fire which has destroyed everything they own except for the clothes they stand up in.
“We are trying to raise money for basic essentials for them to try and set up home again.”
