Appeal launched to help man who 'lost everything' in house fire

AN APPEAL has been launched to help a man who ‘lost everything’ in a house fire.

A house in Boughton Road caught fire at around 2.15pm on Friday (August 16).

Four fire engines tackled the blaze, which started in a bedroom before spreading through to half of the house.

Clare Rippin started a GoFundMe appeal to help the house’s occupant.

She said: “A gentleman I have known for many years unfortunately has lost everything today.

“He has come out of his property with the clothes he was wearing, his mobile, and his keys.

“I would like to ask the people of Rugby if you could kindly donate, even if it’s just a small amount. Every little helps, all donations will be gratefully appreciated.”
