Armed robbers threaten staff at Wolston Co-Op

MASKED robbers threatened staff with a knife and a hammer at a Wolston shop this morning (Wednesday February 18).

Two people wearing balaclavas forced their way into the Co-Op in School Road shortly before 7am. No-one was injured.

One of the thieves escaped in a white Citroen car with cash from the till.

One person has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been taken into custody for questioning.

Anyone who was in the Wolston area this morning and saw any suspicious activity, or has any information which may help police, is asked to contact Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident Incident 39 of February 18.
