Art, history and healing on the timetable at Rugby adult education centre

ART, history and healing are on the timetable at a Rugby adult education centre.

The Percival Guildhouse is offering workshops on the subjects in June.

Artist and tutor Rachel Doughty will run a Life Drawing workshop with a live model. The workshop is suitable for all levels, including beginners.

For history buffs, Gillian White will be looking at the history, art, luxury and extravagance associated with Henry VIII and the Field of the Cloth of Gold.

And Sue McCrea’s workshop on Healing Traditions from East to West will examine different ancient traditions for addressing a variety of health conditions.

The workshops take place at the St Matthew’s Street centre on Saturday June 8.

The Percival Guildhouse will also run two summer schools starting on July 2 – a three-day Creative Writing Workshop covering fiction, poetry and memoirs, and a two-day Experimental Watercolours art workshop with Fiona Setchell, suitable for beginners or for those wishing to build confidence.

Visit www.percival-guildhouse.co.uk or call 01788 542467 for more information or to book a place.

The Percival Guildhouse is the only independent centre for adult education and the arts in Warwickshire, and is a self-supporting charity.
