BIG-HEARTED Rugbeians from a local voluntary organisation have raised thousands to help save the lives of children across the midlands.
Shree Prajapati Association Rugby (SPA Rugby) has donated £2,000 to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
The proceeds were raised from a Charity Dinner Dance last November, alongside a series of additional donations.
Ramesh Mistry from SPA Rugby said: “This is great achievement by SPA Rugby supporting such a worthy cause.”
Following a tour of the hospital led by William Graves from the charity, Mr Mistry added: “This gives a perspective into the impact of any fundraising it richly deserves. On behalf of the Association, I would like to thank all the volunteers and those who kindly donated towards these valuable services.”
The Birmingham Children’s Hospital is a specialist paediatric centre which provides specialist care services in treating sick children, and uses some of the most advanced treatments, equipment and complex surgical procedures seen across the country.
