Bikers help to keep life-saving charity's motor running

BIKERS in Rugby have presented a cheque to a life-saving charity.

Rugby Riders Action Group and Rugby Free Riders raised £115 for Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bikes (WSBB).

The money was raised at the annual 8th Ball in Hand gig at The Courthouse pub last October, headlined by rock bands The Unresolved and Yellow King.

WSBB, a group of volunteer bikes which transports urgently-needed blood, drugs, human tissue and other medical requirements between hospitals, gets no government funding so relies entirely on donations to raise the £42,000 it needs each year to stay on the road.

Visit www.wsbb.org for more about the charity.
