BILTON Coronavirus Support Group is offering help to elderly and vulnerable residents during the pandemic.
More than 200 volunteers have signed up in six weeks, and the mutual aid group also has also launched a fund-raiser, set up a phone line and is working closely with the council and a range of Rugby organisations on a daily basis.
A spokesperson said: “Every day, our volunteers collect shopping, pick up prescriptions and offer emotional support over the phone to those who could do with a friendly chat. Group chats are alive with activity and discussion, and our whole group is committed to prioritising safety and accountability.”
