Bradby Club delivers online youth sessions

Rugby Editorial 13th May, 2020   0

THE BRADBY Club is delivering online youth sessions during the pandemic.

The Rugby youth club is offering sessions using Zoom on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday evenings from 6.30 to 8pm for young people aged 12 to 16 years.

The sessions are an opportunity for young people to meet online, chat with friends and engage with youth workers in a safe environment.

Sessions include informative activities to keep young people safe at home as well as games and challenges to get involved with and have fun.

Each week a young person will top the leaderboard and receive a prize for their achievement through the weeks activities and games.

A spokesperson said: “To get involved young people are asked to either make friends with Bradby Club (Brabs) on Facebook, or message us on Facebook Messenger or Instagram. We will then provide young people with a link and instructions to follow and access the session. All they need is access to either a laptop, smart phone or tablet.”

For more information contact the Bradby club at [email protected] or on social media. Any children younger than 12 who want to get involved should let the club know in order for it to deliver a junior session.

Youth workers are also still supporting young people 121 either by phone or through social media and Zoom.

The club is also been taking part in the 2.6 challenge following the cancellation of the London Marathon.

There’s still time to join Team Bradby and take part in the 2.6 challenge – everything from running 2.6 (or 26) miles or walking 26 laps around a garden, to 26 pancake tosses, or even listening to 26 podcasts.
