BROOKE School in Rugby will benefit from funding to improve facilities.
The Overslade Lane school has been allocated a share of a £434 million investment to expand classrooms, upgrade facilities and improve the education of children across the whole country.
Rugby MP Mark Pawsey said: “Coronavirus has taken a toll on us all, not least our children, who have been kept from their friends, their teachers and their schools. Therefore as we exit lockdown we need to focus on making sure children can get back to school safely. This funding will mean that our local schools have the facilities and classrooms they need to support the high-quality education our children deserve.”
“Replacing and upgrading older school and college buildings with modern, energy efficient designs will give our students and teachers the environment they need to maximise their potential.
“I’m particularly pleased to see that Brooke School will benefit from some important safety improvements. I know that Brooke School does great work helping children with Special Education Needs get the education they deserve and I look forward to seeing for myself the improvements to the school.”
