Buoyant staff at Rugby canal boatyard celebrate being crowned best in Britain

A BUOYANT staff at a canal boatyard in Rugby have celebrated being crowned the best in the country.

Clifton Cruisers was named Best in Britain for the quality of its holidays on the water by ‘staycation’ company Hoseasons at its 18th annual Awards ceremony at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham.

The park was also named Best on the Canals, Rivers and Lochs, and won Boat of the Year for narrowboat Renee, which scored an exceptional number of five-star customer ratings during the year.

Rob Over, Managing Director at Clifton Cruisers, said: “Winning one award is great, but winning three in one night including Best in Britain is incredible.




“It’s great to see our efforts being recognised.”

Gemma Brown, General Manager at Hoseasons, said the accolades were well deserved.


She added: “To be named Best in Britain and win the Boat of the Year category is a fantastic achievement.

“We are grateful for Clifton Cruisers’ continuing partnership and wish them all the best for another successful season in 2025.”
