HUNDREDS of motorbikes roared into the town centre on Sunday for the annual Rugby Bikefest.

Live music, bike displays, stalls, children’s activities and food kept crowds busy and entertained.

New to the festival this year was the Extreme Wheelie machine – both a motorcycle simulator and a virtual reality experience.

Special guests included the Coventry Bees Speedway team riders and their bikes, and Dave Baughan – British Street Bike Champion in 1991 and six times winner of the Bulldog Bash.

Local musicians Stupid Boots, Tan.Trum, Hanzo, Fall From Glory, Morning Star, Dead Frequency, Go Primitive, Bad Touch, Eve Singleton, Emilie Rackham, Behind The Settee, Change Over, White Men Acoustic, Copperhead Road, Dexter, Belle Harmonie, Tazmin Barnes, Nath Brooks, Melissa Severn, Katrin McCall, Strawhouse Singers, Rachel Ann and Lorna Dea provided the soundtrack.

Observer photographer Jon Mullis went along for the ride.
