BUSINESSES in Rugby are being urged to help make the town dementia-friendly.
They are being encouraged to make their businesses more welcoming to people living with dementia and their carers.
At an event this week they heard from members of Rugby Dementia Support – some of who are living with dementia and some caring for family members – about the day-to-day struggles they face and their suggestions for improvements which could be made.
The launch event, held during national Dementia Action Week, was opened by Rugby mayor Bill Lewis.
Any businesses keen to be involved should email [email protected], or search for Rugby Dementia Friendly Community on Facebook or @RugbyTownDFC on Twitter.
