A CRASH collision involving two cars, a lamppost and a stationary ambulance left the patients uninjured, but it was a different story for the ambulance involved.
Crews were at the scene of a car that had crashed into a lamppost and ended up in a hedge at at the junction of the Stonebridge Highway and the A45 in Coventry at 7.25am on Friday (July 8).

But while they were treating the driver, a man in his 30s, on the back of the ambulance, a second car collided with it their emergency vehicle.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The driver of the car in the initial incident was being assessed on the back of the ambulance when the second collision occurred.
“Thankfully, the original driver was uninjured and together with the two members of staff assessing him, remained uninjured in the second collision.
“Fortunately for the driver of the second car, a man thought to be in his 50s, he too escaped injury in the incident.”
The ambulance didn’t fare so well in the collision, however, and had to be taken out of service while repairs were made to the rear door.”
