A CARE home has raised over £1,000 for the elderly care wards at the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
Anya Court Care Home raised the funds by running various events, including a tuck shop and a Christmas fair.
Claire Stokes, a ward manager at the hospital, said: “The money will be used for daily activities for the patients. This currently receives no funding at all and really benefits the patients on the ward.”
Karen Handley , customer relationship manager at Anya Court’s parent company Hallmark Care Homes, said: “We know from experience how invaluable it is to take part in meaningful and stimulating activities, aiding with loneliness and social isolation.
“We are delighted to be able to improve the stay for patients at hospital. Activities are so beneficial to their recovery.”
