A ‘CHARISMATIC’ cat is looking for a new home after spending months in the care of the Rugby Cats Protection charity.
Tigger was found as a stray and has been living with one of the charity’s volunteer fosterers for three months.
A Rugby Cats Protection spokeswoman said she and her colleagues were surprised Tigger had received so little interest, and that nobody suitable had come forward to offer him a loving home.
She added: “Tigger is a very charismatic cat and whoever adopts him will be rewarded knowing they have helped save a cat from a life on the streets.
“At first, he was very timid and used to try and hide in his pen. But, after sessions with a feline behaviourist and a lot of work by his fosterer, we have now seen a dramatic change in his behaviour.
“Once Tigger learnt to trust his fosterer he made rapid progress and now actively seeks attention, even from people he hasn’t met before.”
She said Tigger would probably be best suited to a quiet home where he would be the only pet in the household, with only adults or older children who would be willing to continue the training that has helped him so far.
She added: “Tigger really doesn’t want for much other than a warm bed, food, water and love!
“We have so many cats and kittens that are desperately in need of our care. This is another reason we want to find him a new home as soon as we can – so that we can help the next cat on our rapidly growing admissions waiting list.”
