THE STARTING gun has fired on the town’s Christmas shopping season with the annual opening of the Rugby Combined Charities Christmas Card Shop.
Bargain cards – as well as wrapping paper, diaries, calendars, stocking fillers, candles and more – will be available until mid-December, with all money raised going to 15 local and national good causes.
The shop, which was opened by Mayor Coun Sally Bragg, Mark Pawsey MP and Rev Imogen Nay, has once again set up stall in St Andrew’s Church in the town centre.
It will be manned by volunteers at the following times: 9.45am-3.30pm (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays), 10.30am-3.30pm (Tuesdays), and 9.45am-1pm (Saturdays).
The shop will close on Wednesday December 14 at 2pm.
