FESTIVE funds were raised to help feed hungry Rugby residents at a Charity Christmas Fayre.
The fayre, hosted at the Knox Court Retirement Living Plus complex, raised over £460 for Rugby Foodbank.
Homeowners at the Bilton Road development were joined by visitors to get ahead of their Christmas shopping by buying products from local producers, crafters, and small businesses.
Visitors enjoyed traditional carols and other festive hits sung by the Rugby Male Voice Choir, and took part in a raffle and a guess-the-weight-of-the-cake game, while children were excited by a visit from Father Christmas.
Laura Pittaway from McCarthy Stone, which runs the development, said: “Our homeowners and guests thoroughly enjoyed the Charity Christmas Fayre, and we’re thrilled that all proceeds raised have been donated to a vital local community resource such as the Rugby Foodbank.
“The event has been a great way to bring the community closer together and celebrate what Christmas is all about while browsing stalls, enjoying delicious food, and warming hot chocolate and a mince pie or two.”
