CHARITIES can apply for grants of up to £5,000 under a new initiative from a Rugby building society.
Hinckley & Rugby Building Society is to launch a new Community Foundation to support charities across Warwickshire and Leicestershire.
The launch of the foundation comes after the Society more than doubled its profits in 2021, prompting it to help the local community and economy following the impact of the pandemic.
Chief Executive Colin Fyfe said: “Off the back of a good year, we have the opportunity to share our profit with the communities around us.
“We are delighted that we will be launching the Hinckley & Rugby Building Society Community Foundation at our AGM on March 29.
“Members are warmly invited to this year’s AGM to learn more about our financial results and the Community Foundation.”
The Society has been in the local community since 1865, currently employs over 160 people, and as a mutual organisation reinvests profits into local communities and charities.
