Child reportedly hit by car during morning rush hour

A CHILD was reportedly hit by a car during the morning rush hour today (Monday October 23).

The incident is reported to have taken place on the A4071 relief road in Rugby, near to the cement works, just after 8am.

The young boy sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for a check-up.

Police are looking to identify a man on a push bike and a man in another car who reportedly stopped to ensure the child was alright.




Officers believe the men might have seen the incident take place, and would like to record their witness testimony.

The driver involved with the collision has already provided their details to the police.
