A CHILDREN’S centre has received a £1,000 donation from Amazon’s Rugby fulfilment centre.
The donation, part of the online retailer’s community programme, will fund 34 therapy sessions at Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre in Coventry.
Members of the Amazon Rugby team visited the centre to hand over the donation.
Tiny Tim’s centre manager Sarah Hemings said: “I want to extend a huge thank you to the team from Amazon. This donation helps us to fulfil a very real need in the local community and will help to positively impact so many young lives.”
David Tindal, site leader at Amazon in Rugby, said: “Tiny Tim’s provides indispensable services to children and families in our community. We are very pleased to support them and had a lovely morning meeting staff and seeing the facilities they offer to the incredible children they care for.”
Tiny Tim’s provides complementary treatments to children and young people with disabilities, health problems and special needs. It has provided over 3,500 treatments and 2,100 therapeutic play sessions each year since opening in 1997.
