Crop of cannabis plants seized by police from Rugby home

SEVENTY cannabis plants have been seized by police from a house in Thomson Close.

The search took place on Thursday (April 28) after a warrant was executed at a property on Buchanan Road.

Following the warrant on Buchanan Road, a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug and conspiracy to supply cannabis, and a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cannabis.

In addition to the seizure of the plants on Thomson Close, a quantity of cannabis and £4,000 in cash were seized at the property on Buchanan Road.




Both men have been bailed until the end of May while investigations continue.
