AN ANNUAL event to welcome springtime takes place next month.
Daffodil Sunday returns to the grounds of Newnham Paddox country house – the country estate of the Earl and Countess of Denbigh – near Monks Kirby on Sunday April 7.
Visitors can take woodland and lakeside walks in grounds designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.
Attractions include displays of woodturning, vintage tractors and cars, donkey rides, alpacas, pottery and archery.
Music will be provided by the Dunchurch Band, the Ocho Rios Steel Band, the Villagers’ Choir, the Rugby Male Voice Choir and the Revel School Choir, and refreshments will be on sale.
The event, hosted by the Friends of the Revel C of E Churches, was called off last year because the ground was waterlogged following heavy rain.
It runs from 11am to 4pm. Admission costs £4 for adults, £1 for children, and free for under-5s. Parking is free.
