A HEROIN and crack dealer has been jailed after being caught in Rugby running a drugs line called ‘BIGZ’.
Mohammed Aevazi, 29, was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court to four and half years in prison for being concerned with the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, and with two counts of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
In January, a police investigation revealed that Aevazi was involved in the drugs line.
In a pre-planned operation, detectives arrested him in a Rugby alleyway and found he was carrying a ‘burner’ phone, three wraps of crack cocaine and cash.
In custody, he was found to have been hiding 45 wraps of crack cocaine in his underwear.
At the address in Rugby where he was staying, police found the phone that he had been using to send bulk texts advertising crack cocaine and heroin for sale.
DI Alan Hands said: “This sentence is very welcome. These toxic substances destroy lives and cause misery in our communities.
“Aevazi clearly didn’t care about that – he just wanted to make cash.
“He now has plenty of time to reflect on his actions.”
