DEDICATED staff at Overslade House care home have been honoured for their combined 25 years of service.
Care Practitioner Grace Maria Lalisan and Care Assistant Shurong Harris have received prestigious Service Awards in celebration of working for the care home’s owners, Barchester Healthcare, for 15 years and 10 years respectively.
Violeta Baesu, General Manager of Overslade House, said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating a total of 25 years of loyal service with Grace and Shurong. Both have demonstrated their dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year.
“I speak for all of us here at Overslade House when I say that I’m looking forward to many more years of working with Grace and Shurong!”
The care home’s Maintenance Assistant Patrick Crossin has also been praised for going ‘above and beyond’ in his role to keep residents safe and happy as he was named as Employee of the Month.
Patrick was nominated by residents and colleagues who felt he deserved extra recognition for the work he does every day.
Residents and staff applauded as Patrick was congratulated by Violeta and presented with a £25 voucher.
He said: “I am surprised and very happy to receive this award, It is always nice to know you are doing your job right and to be recognised for this.”
Violeta said: “I’m delighted to have such a caring and talented individual working as part of our team and I hope this award goes some way towards showing how much Patrick’s hard work is valued. Patrick has been with us for many years and we hope he will be here for many more.”
