A COMMUNITY football club which puts youngsters in the floodlights has bought new kits and training equipment thanks to a £1,000 donation.
Lutterworth Athletic Football Club – which has been giving children and young people from the area the chance to play league football for the past 40 years – received the donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Rugby.
Lee Brooks, Manager of the club’s U14 Hurricanes, said: “We want to thank the team at Amazon in Rugby for their contribution to our club.
“We are a small club and rely on donations to continue supporting our community. We are all grateful for this support.”
Amazon employee Mark Okuniewski said: “It will be great to see the children at Lutterworth Athletic Football Club benefit from the support. We wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season.”
