Easter eggs wanted at The Myton Hospices

EASTER egg donations are wanted for a fundraising eggstravaganza at The Myton Hospices.

The charity is planning a series of tombolas at supermarkets, shopping centres and community locations across Coventry, Rugby and Warwick, using donated Easter eggs as prizes to help raise vital funds for local hospice care.

Previous Easter Egg tombolas have proven to be highly successful, raising thousands of pounds to support Myton’s vital work. In 2024 alone, thanks to the generosity of residents, businesses, schools and community groups, the initiative raised almost £4,000, which could fund a hospice bed at Myton for just over a week.

This year, the charity hopes to build on that success, and is encouraging the public to get involved to ensure there are enough prizes available to raise as much money as possible.

Rachael Ryan, community fundraising manager at The Myton Hospices, said: “At this time of year, you can’t do your food shop without seeing shelves full of chocolate treats, so why not pop an extra egg into your trolley, donate it to Myton and help raise vital funds for your local hospice? Donating an egg is a simple gesture that helps Myton continue to support local families when they need us most.”

Donations of Easter eggs can be dropped off at Warwick Myton Hospice, Coventry Myton Hospice and Rugby Myton Support Hub.
