PROTESTERS are planning to march against air pollution in Rugby under the Extinction Rebellion banner.
Rugby Extinction Rebellion (RXR) will march from the Lord John Scott statue in Dunchurch to the William Webb Ellis statue in the town centre – both identified as air pollution hotspots in Rugby Borough Council’s (RBC) 2018 Air Quality Annual Status Report.
Organisers are protesting against the expansion of Rugby through new building developments at a time of Climate Emergency – as declared by Parliament and RBC earlier this year.
The march will begin in Dunchurch at 10am on Saturday September 14.
