TWO major fashion stores will make their Rugby debuts at the revamped Elliott’s Field Retail Park.

River Island and Fat Face will open branches at the £35million upgrade later this year.

Fat Face’s first Rugby store will be its largest out-of-town branch, as well as its first on a shopping park in England.

Tim Moody, Head of Property at Fat Face, said: “This is a great opportunity for Fat Face. We’re delighted to bring our latest shop fit and full range of clothing and accessories to Elliott’s Field in Rugby.”

Tom Cochrane, Development Manager for site owners Hammerson, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming leading fashion retailers Fat Face and River Island to Elliott’s Field.

“Their arrival supports our vision of creating a retail destination that puts Rugby back on the map and enables the local residents, and those in the wider area, to enjoy a new and exciting shopping experience that offers a varied mix of shops and restaurants.”

Both stores will take a 6,250 sq ft unit on a 10 year lease.

The redeveloped Elliott’s Field, on schedule to open later this year, has already secured an impressive line-up including a brand new 60,000 sq ft Debenhams and a 50,000 sq ft Marks and Spencer, both of which will anchor the scheme, as well as TKMaxx, Outfit, Clarks, Nando’s and Ed’s Easy Diner.

Next became the first new store to open at the retail park today (Thursday July 23). Click here for more details.
