Father Christmas takes up residence in town centre grotto

FATHER Christmas will be making regular appearances in Rugby town centre in the run-up to Christmas.

Santa is inviting children to come and see him at his grotto in Yum Yum World in High Street.

The grotto, organised by Rugby First and the Rotary Clubs of Rugby, will raise money for Rugby Autism Network and the Sick Children Trust.

Rugby First managing director Aftab Gaffar said: “We are delighted to organise and support the grotto as it brings hundreds of people into the town centre and at the same time raises valuable funds for local charities.

“It will be exciting to see the grotto in its new location and I would advise that people come early as it will be busy.”

The grotto will be open between 10am and 4pm on the first four Saturdays in December, as well as from Monday 17 to Sunday 23 December.

There will be a be a small charge to meet Santa, with all proceeds going to the two charities. All children will receive a present.
