ILLEGAL parking is preventing emergency services from quickly responding to calls on a residential road.

Police have issued 15 penalties to badly-parked motorists obstructing Coton Park after firefighters said it was getting harder to drive down the street.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police, who have increased patrols on the Brownsover road, said: “Residents of Coton Park continue to draw our attention to road safety issues caused by illegal and inconsiderate parking of vehicles.

“Please consider the safety of all residents by parking your vehicle safely and legally, avoiding obstruction of the public highway and road junctions. This also includes ensuring that pedestrian walkways remain passable.”
