LITTLE Sofia Hall has paid tribute to the ‘soldiers in the sky’ with a heartfelt drawing on the eve of Remembrance Sunday.

The artistic four-year-old created her picture in honour of the fallen as the nation prepares to commemorate the centenary of the ending of the First World War.

Sofia with her drawing ‘soldiers in the sky’.Sofia was inspired by her dad’s experience serving in Afghanistan. Craig Hall, who now works for Jaguar Land Rover in Gaydon, served as an air engineering technician in the Royal Navy for five years and did three tours of Afghanistan.

Craig and mum Debbie talk about the meaning of remembrance Sunday with Sofia every year, and together pay tribute to the thousands of lives lost through war – and Sofia proudly wears her dad’s operational service medal.

Debbie said: “Her picture is her understanding of what remembrance day means and that we should always remember ‘the soldiers in the sky’.

“She was so proud of her drawing and we are so proud of her.

“It shows innocence and understanding about what it means and why we do it.”
