Frontline key workers getting a hero's welcome at care home in Rugby

FRONTLINE key workers are being given a fitting hero’s welcome at a Rugby care home throughout December.

Anya Court Care Home in Dunchurch Road has launched an NHS Heroes Club for all 999 personnel, district nurses and therapists in the community.

To thank them for their hard work, paramedics, firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals are welcome to drop by any time between 9am and 5pm for a complimentary hot drink or snack, to take away or eat in the home’s outdoor heated gazebo.

The home’s customer relationship manager Karen Handley said: “We wanted to show our appreciation and thanks for our NHS heroes across Warwickshire for everything they have done in such a challenging year.

“Now the days are shorter and the weather colder, our Festive Marquee is the perfect pitstop to have a warm drink and a Christmas bite, and take five minutes in a heated but safe socially distanced space. Alternatively visitors can take away instead, and we are looking forward to seeing the area made the most of.”

Snacks are available on Tuesdays and on Christmas Day.

For more information, contact Karen on 01788 811976, email [email protected] or drop in to the care home.
