Funding for Rugby charities, schools and community groups up for grabs

CHARITIES, schools and good causes around Rugby could receive a share of £5,000 after a housebuilder launched a community support scheme in the town.

The CALA Homes Community Bursary is being introduced to Rugby after awarding a share of £100,000 to 118 good causes across the country last year.

Mark Wright, regional MD for CALA Homes (Midlands), said: “This is the first time we have run the bursary in Rugby and we’re really looking forward to hearing from local charities, groups and community projects to find out about the great work being done and how CALA can get involved.

“The community bursary scheme gives us the chance to find out exactly what support is needed locally and provides the opportunity for charities and groups of all sizes to apply for funds.”

Visit for more information, or to apply for a share of the bursary. Application forms are also available at CALA Homes’ Coton House Country Estate development in Rugby.

The closing deadline for entries is Friday March 23.
