FUNDRAISERS are hitting the green in aid of Warwickshire Search and Rescue.
A Charity Golf Day is being held at Leamington and County Golf Club on Wednesday May 27.
Businesses, organisations and residents are being called to take part to help raise vital funds for the volunteer-led charity.
Warwickshire Search and Rescue is a team of highly trained volunteers who assist the police in searching for high-risk missing people across Warwickshire. Members respond day or night, often in difficult conditions, to help bring vulnerable people home safely and provide reassurance to families during extremely distressing times.
Unlike many emergency services, Warwickshire Search and Rescue receives no direct government or statutory funding. This means it must raise all the funds required to maintain its specialist equipment, vehicles, training, and operational capability through community fundraising and the generosity of local supporters.
