Gallery launches social history project to capture life on lockdown

A SOCIAL history project to capture life on lockdown has been launched by Rugby Art Gallery and Museum (RAGM).

The gallery is asking for Rugbeians to keep hold of photos, publicity material, stories, diaries and other keepsakes for future generations to look back on.

A RAGM spokesperson said: “Few of us have ever lived in a time like this. Our lives, families and community have been turned upside down by the coronavirus outbreak.

“Imagine explaining it to someone in 20 years’ time – they’d never believe you. Just how much change there has been, how it made us all feel, how much of our lives shifted to social media whilst others work to protect us.

“This really is history in the making. That’s why we’d like you to capture this extraordinary time for future generations to look back on.”

Visit www.ragm.co.uk for more information on what the gallery is collecting and how to submit it.
