GENEROUS pupils from Princethorpe College have filled boxes with gifts for disadvantaged children overseas, who would not otherwise receive a Christmas gift.
They were taking part in the Parish Christmas Shoe Box Appeal organised by St Anne’s Church in Wappenbury.
A total of 81 boxes have been packed full of gifts, and educational and hygiene essentials such as toothbrushes, hairbrushes, paper and pens.
The boxes will be distributed by charity Teams4U in Romania and will be given to vulnerable children, families, schools, nurseries, hospitals and orphanages.
The school thanked the pupils and parents who took part – especially Year 8 pupils Daisy Burke, Jemima Teeton and Isaac Kirby who worked tirelessly in lunchtimes to sort and pack the boxes, and to Chaplaincy Co-Ordinator Mary Benham and parish member Loretta Curtis.
