THE GHOST train is stopping in Rugby town centre this weekend as a variety of Halloween activities comes to town.

The novelty train ride will depart from the top of Sheep Street between 11am and 4pm on Saturday (November 1) and Sunday (November 2), taking in Halloween and Day of the Dead themed installations along the way.

Spooky stories will also be told at Rugby Theatre throughout the weekend.

Halloween-themed story walks will take place from Friday (October 31) to Sunday (November 2), during which participants can discover tales from the town’s past and some of the ghostly characters who may or may not still be around.

Fun craft activities take place on Saturday and Sunday at the Rugby Hotel, including painting and hat-making.

Fancy dress is encouraged, with prizes for the best costumes.

Rugby First Business Director Linda Lowne said: “This year for Halloween we have some great activities lined up for families and adults in the town centre and we hope you will not be too scared to join us.

“Don’t forget although most of the activities are free and can just turn up on the day some will still need to be booked in advance.”
