GREEN grants are on offer to communities in the Lutterworth area.
The Environmental Grant Scheme is offering grants from £5,000 to £20,000 for not-for-profit organisations in Harborough district to undertake projects which benefit the environment.
Village groups, community enterprises, registered charities, and town or parish councils can apply.
Projects must reduce the carbon footprint of the community, reduce waste, enhance biodiversity or environmental assets such as green spaces and waterways, or raise awareness of climate change.
Coun Darren Woodiwiss, Harborough District Council’s spokesman for Environmental and Climate Change, said: “This initiative underscores our commitment to sustainable development and empowers local communities to be active contributors to environmental conservation.
“We encourage all eligible groups to put forward innovative projects that align with our shared goal of building a greener, more resilient Harborough district.”
Applications are now open. Visit www.harborough.gov.uk/environmentalgrant for more information, eligibility criteria, and to apply.
