Hair salon wins town centre Best Dressed Coronation Window competition

A SALON has won a trophy for helping to paint the town red, white and blue for the Coronation.

The Annex Studios was judged the winner of the Rugby Town Centre Best Dressed Coronation Window competition.

The Sheep Street hair salon beat off competition from over 30 entries to win the contest, organised by Rugby First and judged by Revd Canon Edmund Newey, the Rector of St Andrew’s Church.

Terracotta was the runner-up, with Planet Aid winning the charity shop category. Jean’s Flowers also picked up a special award for their crown floral arrangement.

Annex Studios owner Rebecca Wadeson said: “It was fun putting the display together and it’s been great to see so many people stop, smile and enjoy it.

“I understand that lots of businesses entered the competition, and they have all done a brilliant job in creating some really amazing window displays which added some real colour to the town centre – so well done to them all.”

Rugby First Business and Stakeholder Manager Linda Lowne said: “A big thank you to all those businesses that took time to dress their windows and for creating some amazing window displays which really added to the Coronation shopping experience for visitors to the town centre.”
