COMMUNITY spirit has not been lacking during the pandemic but it has not touched heartless thieves in a Warwickshire village.

Young Oliver Bucholz was raising money for NHS charities by holding a toy sale in his front garden in Stockton.

The ten-year popped off for lunch only to return to find his toys, and the £4 he had already raised, had been stolen.

Furloughed Observer photographer Jon Mullis, a family friend, has set up a GoFundMe page to help Oliver’s fund-raising drive.

Jon said: “Let’s help Oliver to put a little money in his bucket and a smile back on his face.”
