Helping hand available to town's musical prodigies

Rugby Editorial 18th Feb, 2020   0

FINANCIAL help is now available to help musical prodigies fulfil their potential.

The Rugby Rotary Music Bursary Trust – which has been giving primary and secondary school musicians in the Rugby area a financial helping hand over the last decade – has announced new Bursaries and Scholarships.

The Bursaries help the families of young musicians by contributing to the cost of music lessons or instrument hire. Applications are welcome on the grounds of financial need and musical promise.

The Trust is also donating Scholarships to advanced music students aged 21 or under, to go towards extra costs such as high level exams, instruments, creating and sharing original compositions, and attending career-changing project or courses.

The funds come from the three local Rotary Clubs, and money raised by the Warwickshire Music Service from local school concert ticket sales.
