TWO COMMUNITY events will take place in Hillmorton and Brownsover tomorrow (Saturday August 13).
The Hillmorton and East Rugby Together Community Group (HEaRT) is hosting the HEaRT Community Festival at Featherbed Lane Recreation Ground and Rogers Hall from 12-8pm.
Live entertainment will be provided by singers Nicky Newman, Lorna Dea, Jordan Taylour and Kieran Taylour, party rock band Omnishambles, and comic play Bubbles.
Other attractions include a Mini Rovers driving experience, circus skills, children’s activities, face painting and craft stalls.
Refreshments will be provided by Maia Gelato, The Little Box Bar, Laff’s Wood Fired Pizza, and a mocktails bar. Tea, coffee, cakes, and pic ’n’ mix sweets will also be available.
Attendees are advised to keep cool during the hot weather by bringing plenty of water, parasols, suncream and hats.
That same day, Brownsover Hall is relaunching its Family Fun Day after a pandemic-enforced break.
The fun day, which runs from 12-6pm, will feature a barbecue, ice cream, slush puppies, entertainment, face painting, bouncy castles and a children’s play area.
It will be supported by local businesses The Last Crumb, Bouncydo, Magician John Needham, Rent a Tent Glamping Hire, Tumble Bears Soft Play, Unique Face Paints and Glitter Tattoos, DGM Slush and Incredible Ice Cream Company.
