AN UNEXPECTED windfall was presented to Myton Hospice by members of the Friday Night Charity Darts League in Rugby.
The group, which chose Myton as one of its two nominated charities for 2019, surprised the charity with a cheque for £1,000.
It was collected by Peter Realf on behalf of Myton.
He said: “Many people think Myton Hospices are just for cancer patients, but that is not the whole story. Myton aims to provide care for anyone with an illness that will shorten their life.
“This naturally includes cancer, but also conditions like heart failure, Motor Neurone Disease, renal failure or respiratory disease – and the nursing staff are trained to ensure that whatever the patient diagnosis they will receive the best possible care.”
“It was a privilege to be invited to collect this magnificent cheque, and I’d like to thank everyone involved for supporting Myton Hospice.”
