RUGBY’S Percival Guildhouse will be welcoming visitors to its annual garden party on Saturday (June 29).

The free entry event, running from 11am to 5pm, will offer a chance to look around the 19th century building next to Rugby’s public library, and there will be stalls and refreshments.

The charity-run Guildhouse, which has been a centre for adult education since 1925 and is the only centre of its kind in Warwickshire, is raising funds to install a lift enabling ease of access to all floors.

RUGBY Town Girls and Women’s Football Club are holding an open day – just two days after England reached the World Cup semi-finals.

The club, which is offering free training during June and July, is hosting an open day from 10am-12pm on Saturday (June 29) at the Rugby Town stadium in Butlin Road

FORMER pupils from Newbold Grange High School year of 1978 are holding their annual get together on Saturday (June 29).

Organiser Steve Heighton said: “We have a lot of the year still in Rugby and when we get together it’s always a great night. We have our own Facebook page NGHS78 and we’re hoping for our best turnout yet.”

Meet at Wetherspoons at 7.30pm.

NAPTON Open Gardens will be raising money for two charities on Sunday (June 30).

Nine gardens in the village, including Napton Windmill, will be open between 2pm and 6pm.

Proceeds from the event, which last year raised more than £2,000, will be divided between St Lawrence Church in the village and Warwick-based charity Molly Olly’s Wishes, established in 2011 following the death of eight-year-old Molly Ollerenshaw from a rare kidney cancer.

The charity works to support children with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families and help with their emotional wellbeing, grants wishes and donates therapeutic toys and books to both children directly and to hospitals throughout the UK.

The open day will include plant sales and refreshments, cream teas, Pimms and Prosecco, live music and a children’s competition.

Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased on the day from Napton Village Hall.

THE VILLAGE of Barnacle will host its annual Village Sale on Sunday (June 30) from 10am.

Residents will set up stalls in gardens and driveways to sell second hand goods.

Extra pitches will be available on the grass at the village hall at a cost of £8 for non-residents. Call 07535 890630 to book a space.
